Greytip Software Private Limited is a Bengaluru-based software company best known for greytHR, a cloud platform for HR management and payroll. The company was co-founded by Girish Rowjee (CEO) and Sayeed Anjum (CTO), and its leadership page says Anjum has overseen product development since 1994. The company introduced greytHR as a SaaS product in the early 2010s.

greytHR covers core HR records, payroll processing with Indian statutory compliance (PF, ESI, professional tax and TDS), leave and attendance, an employee self-service portal and mobile app, and performance management. The product is built mainly for small and mid-sized businesses in India, and the company also serves customers in the Gulf (GCC) countries. The greytHR mobile app lets employees check payslips, apply for leave and mark attendance, and managers can approve requests from their phones.

greytHR is sold online on a subscription basis, with plans priced according to the number of employees and the modules chosen. The company offers a free plan for very small teams and a free trial, and it also sells through its own sales team. Because payroll compliance rules differ across Indian states, the product maintains state-specific professional tax and labour welfare fund settings.

On its About page, Greytip says it has more than 20,000 paying businesses and processes more than 20 lakh employee records every month. It also lists SOC 2 and ISO certifications and GDPR compliance. The company has taken external investment, including a round led by Info Edge, the parent company of Naukri. Customers can import data from spreadsheets or earlier payroll systems during onboarding, and implementation support is included with paid plans.
